The Washington Farm Bureau Health Care Trust was established Jan. 1, 2004 to offer Washington Farm Bureau members fully insured medical, dental, vision and group life insurance benefits, and has served thousands of Washington employers over the last decade. Federal health care reform legislation, the Affordable Care Act, now limits participation in the Trust to employers who are engaged in agricultural-related activities. Participating employers enjoy a full array of employee benefits products offered through best-in-class carriers, tied together with consolidated billing and COBRA administration.
Washington’s agricultural community includes farmers, ranchers and dairies; fishing and aquiculture; food processing; timber production; breweries, wineries and distilleries; and agricultural support businesses and services.
