Washington Farm Bureau Concludes Successful 2024 Annual Meeting
Lacey, WA – Washington Farm Bureau (WFB) wrapped up its 2024 Annual Meeting with resounding success, showcasing the strength and dedication of its grassroots membership. Held at the Wenatchee Convention Center, the event brought together members from across the state to engage in vital organizational work, connect through educational workshops, and contribute to the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Throughout the three-day event, members participated in workshops that provided practical tools and insights, discussed pressing issues facing agriculture, and passed resolutions to guide WFB’s policy priorities for the coming year. These decisions, made in the delegate hall, will steer the State Board of Directors, elected leaders, staff, and overall organizational direction in the year ahead.
The meeting also featured special guests from the American Farm Bureau Federation and Idaho Farm Bureau, including Bryan Searle, Idaho Farm Bureau State President. Searle and other Idaho representatives shared updates on the successful launch of Western Community Insurance, the newest Farm and Ranch insurance provider in Washington state. Their collaboration and insights emphasized innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of agricultural producers.
A key highlight of the event was a dynamic roundtable that brought together representatives from the Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), and Rural Development (RD). This forum gave members the opportunity to learn about federal and state-supported resources and programs designed to help their operations thrive.
In the closing session, members cast unanimous ballots to reelect Rosella Mosby as State President, continuing her steadfast leadership. Bridget Coon and Anne Lawrence were also unanimously reelected as 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President, respectively, ensuring stability and continuity within the organization’s officer team.
“This officer team is committed to advancing the mission of Washington Farm Bureau,” said President Mosby. “With the support and engagement of our members, we’ll continue to advocate for policies that strengthen agriculture, connect our members to essential resources for success, and empower farming families across Washington.”
Washington Farm Bureau extends gratitude to its members, partners, and sponsors for making this year’s annual meeting an exceptional success. For more information about the Washington Farm Bureau and its initiatives, visit www.wsfb.com or follow us on social media.
