Weinhard Hotel

The hotel building was built in 1890 by Jacob Weinhard (nephew to Henry Weinhard, whose name graces many adult beverages). You can read more of the history here: http://weinhard.com/weinhard-history.htm  Over the years, many changes came to the Weinhard building. In the early 1990s Dayton natives, Dan & Ginny Butler, decided to restore the building and turn it into the gorgeous facility it currently is. Elements of the former facility were used throughout, thus retaining the architectural heritage of the building. The wainscoting, doors, moldings and hardware were all recycled to create today's Weinhard Hotel. During the restoration, the Butlers carefully monitored the process of designing the rooms and purchased antique furniture that is period-appropriate (built between 1820 and 1900) to furnish the rooms. No two rooms are furnished the same!
