WASHINGTON AG NETWORK – GLENN VAAGEN
On July 16 young farmers from across the U.S. will gather in Johnstown Iowa, for the National FFA Organization’s 2017 New Century Farmer conference. Former Washington FFA Vice President, and Prosser native Tye Taylor was selected to join the elite group this summer. Taylor told the Washington Ag Network not only is it an honor to be selected, but this will help his network and better prepare himself for a career in agriculture.
“Listen to people who have been there and done that and overcome these issues, and are on the cutting edge development of new software, new machinery and new chemicals, really all of the things that make agriculture a well-rounded industry.”
Taylor added this will also be a great opportunity to share Washington agriculture, and the state’s diversity with the rest of the nation.
