Workplace Safety and Workers’ Comp Claims Management Consulting Services
Any time one of your employees is injured, it costs your company. The loss can be in production, hiring and training a replacement, rescheduling work or the loss of a project or job. Plus, the injury can cause your workers’ compensation premium rates to go up.
What is Retro/Safety?
The concept is simple:
It’s an Incentive Program: Businesses in a retro group can earn a partial refund of their worker’s comp premiums if they maintain a safe workplace that results in minimal workplace accidents and low claims costs. Our program is called Retro/Safety because you cannot have one without the other. There are four main components:
The Retrospective Rating Program is a financial incentive program offered by L&I to encourage improvements in workplace safety. Improving on the job safety you can earn a partial refund of your workers’ compensation premiums when you reduce workplace injuries and lower associated claim costs.
Employers control losses by preventing workplace illnesses and injuries, and helping injured workers return to work. In doing so, a farm can bring down the cost of doing business and make a better workplace for all of your employees
We help enrolled Farm Bureau members to create safe, healthful workplaces and to reduce the number of on-the-job accidents and injuries. Our Safety Directors conduct on-site workplace evaluations and provide training services in accident prevention. In the event of a serious injury, we will conduct an on-site evaluation to help members learn from the accident and prevent a reoccurrence.
Unfortunately, injuries do happen. When and injury occurs, we provide claims management services to our enrollees and reduce the costs of the claim. Our trained and experienced claim consultants aggressively and proactively manage claims to ensure timely action is taken by L&I to bring claims to resolution as quickly as possible.
